Zach Holmes is featured gliding down into a bed of cactuses, Eric Manaka rides a bicycle full speed into a false wall while wearing a cape, and Jasper Dolphin is shot off a ramp by large industrial fans. The newcomers are also featured in many of the stunts, including Poopies fighting off a Texas Ratsnake and Rachel Wolfson having a scorpion sting her lips for a new take on Botox trends. Stunts with the main cast include Johnny Knoxville facing a bull resulting in dangerous consequences, Steve-O having his crotch and genitals used as a beehive and a vulture eating pieces of meat off Wee Man’s body.Įhren McGhehey revives the “Cup Test” stunt from the first film by being subjected to painful tests with an athletic cup, Dave England is featured with a twist on the classic “Carrie” pig’s blood on prom night incident, and Preston Lacy’s testicles are filmed being used as a human punching bag. The intro ends with the “monster” being bit by a snapping turtle. It’s almost like they blew most of their budget for this beginning sequence. It serves to introduce the main cast members in the film and pulls no punches with its frat house humor. The scenes bounce back and forth to footage of the monster’s rampage and behind the scenes looks at how the sequences were shot. In reality, it is Chris Pontius’ genitals painted green and made into a “monster” marionette rampaging over a small set of a city. The film begins with a tribute to kaiju and big monster invasion movies, in what appears to be a city being overrun by a giant green monster. Jackass Forever, is a compilation of stunts, skits, pranks intercut with on-set commentary and explanations for the scenes with its cast. Jackass forever is 96 minutes long including archival footage paired with scrolling credits at the end and is rated R for strong crude material and dangerous stunts, graphic nudity and language throughout. The film stars original Jackass members Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Wee Man, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy, newcomers to the Jackass crew, celebrity guests, and a cameo appearance by original Jackass member Bam Margera, who was fired during the film’s production. It is the fourth main installment in the Jackass film series, following Jackass 3D (2010). Jackass Forever is a reality slapstick comedy film produced by Jeff Tremaine, Spike Jonze and Johnny Knoxville and was released by Paramount Pictures. It’s really just a bunch of guys doing stupid things for a laugh and it works! I have to say that I enjoyed this film more than any other and definitely more than the TV show that aired on MTV in the early 2000s.Īnd while it isn’t for everyone, there’s plenty of laughs to be had for adults who enjoy comedy that doesn’t require much thought or preamble. “Jackass Forever” banks on its previous slapstick and accident-prone variety of stunt comedy repertoire that spans 20 years. Or, worse if it’s actually following the book it’s based on! Sometimes, I just want to watch a movie without worrying over the plot or how it fits into a film series.
